Over the past thirteen years over 17,000 young people came through our doors seeking critical care and resolution for the issues that had driven them to a life of desperation on the streets. The Crisis Center is located at our main campus at 611 N. Rampart Street at the edge of the historic French Quarter and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Help begins with a hot meal, clean clothes, a shower and a bed. Only after these immediate needs are met does the Covenant House staff begin to address the more complex problems of these youth in crisis. Our team of caring professionals develop and implement intensive, individualized programs for each young person. Services include counseling, health services, substance abuse management, educational and employment services and pastoral guidance. On an average night, 47 young people receive crisis services.
