Nearly 100 percent of all youth entering Covenant House have dropped out of school and have no skills that would make them suitable for employment. Covenant House New Orleans offers a comprehensive array of educational and job preparation, training and employment programs to bear at this crucial juncture between a dismal past and a promising future for our kids. Our young people return to high school or attain their GED's and are guided by certified teachers and volunteer educators who serve as tutors and instructors. This year we have seen several Covenant House youth graduate high school and enter area colleges and universities in pursuit of even greater academic and personal success.
